9/11 Truthers Are Idiots

By Jesse Merkel

Some people are so ideologically married to certain beliefs, that nothing will ever sway them. One of the best examples of this is the 9/11 Truth movement. These people believe that the government carried out the attacks on September 11and blamed radical Islam for it so that they could chip away at our civil liberties and start new wars.

There are a few things that the 9/11 "Truthers" regularly spout off as proof that the attacks were carried out by the government, including Building 7, the phone calls from the hijacked planes, and the way the twin towers collapsed. Each of their "theories" can easily be disproven by science and common sense.

They talk about how the collapse of the twin towers looked similar to controlled demolition videos of other buildings sometimes seen on television. Controlled demolition takes weeks or even months to set up, depending on the size of the building. In Detroit, a 33 level structure took three months to properly wire and set up for demolition.

Controlled demolition requires cutting into nearly every beam and structural support. With two buildings over 110 stories tall that were open 24 hours a day, with billionaire businessmen paying thousands of dollars in rent per square foot, it would have been impossible to pull off without anyone knowing, as people would’ve wondered what was with all the construction crews.

One of the biggest things to note of all is that while controlled demolition happens from the bottom up, the twin towers collapsed from the top down, proving it was a natural collapse and not a controlled demolition.

People have pointed out that fire cannot melt steel. Well duh! Fire doesn’t melt steel. It does however weaken steel, and that’s all that’s needed. Once the steel was weakened enough, the laws of physics took over and the building buckled. The airplanes careening into the buildings did enough damage, but when you add in steel softened by raging fires, it was more than enough to bring the structures down.

The Truthers point out the speed at which the buildings fell, but conveniently leave out crucial information. Both towers fell close to freefall because the buildings were mostly air. The twin towers were not composed of solid concrete. They were designed to be incredibly lightweight. As each floor subsequently gave way, they were in near-freefall.

The Truthers talk about how Building 7 collapsed without an airplane hitting it, but fail to understand the structural impact that two 110-story buildings falling in on themselves had on it. Also, thousands of tons of debris hit Building 7, damaging the structure and starting fires.

Conspiracy theorists also claim that the phone calls from the hijacked planes must have been faked because no one can make a phone call from 30,000 feet. True, but they weren’t at 30,000 feet. They’d only been off the ground for a short time before being hijacked. After that, they had to bring the planes to a lower altitude so that they could strike their targets. If people can make a phone call from the top floor of a skyscraper, they could have done so while inside a low-flying plane.

So according to these geniuses, the phone calls that were received and the messages that were left describing terrorists were all faked, meaning that the government would have known who was going to be on the plane well in advance, gotten their voiceprint, and in some cases even had a conversation with a trusted loved one. This from the same government that left General Colon Powell looking like an idiot at the United Nations two years later, and could not prevent PFC Bradley Manning from stealing crucial information. They’re giving the government way too much credit here.

If the government had really wanted to bring the towers down, they could have gone about it much easier. A few properly wired trucks could have been driven into the basements and set off. Being nearly identical to the 1993 attempt, the suicide bomber aspect would’ve been equally plausible. Only a few security cameras would have required tampering, which would’ve been much easier to pull off than faking hijackings, phone calls, and so on.

Conspiracy theorists like Jesse Ventura and Alex Jones cater almost exclusively in devious plots, which is why they view everything as a conspiracy. To this day they’re still fooling people with slick videos, edited phone recordings, photos where the debris at the Pentagon was edited out, and catchy slogans.

There is no conspiracy surrounding 9/11. The U.S. government was not the enemy, Dylan Avery is not the plucky hero, and this is not the grand arena. Radical Islamic fundamentalists found the simplest method of getting around defenses that had grown relaxed and bloated, and the U.S. tragically paid for it.

Why I Know Condi can't be VP

By Christopher Mason
The same reason that individuals have said Jeb Bush can't be president is the same reason I'll put my neck out and stake that Condi cannot play the part of VP. Don't get me wrong, I think she would make an amazing VP and there's not a better woman right now that I can think of that would be qualified more. Palin? Pah. Bachman? Go back under a rock. Condi? Right on.

There is however a large reason that Condoleezza Rice will not be chosen as VP and that is she served under George Bush. Think about it like this... You're sitting in a crowded theater and you scream FIRE! Everyone's going to run. You're flying on an airplane and someone screams BOMB! Everyone's going to become terrified. A girl is sitting next to her boyfriend and she tells him she's running late, he offers to get her a cab... You get where I'm going with this?

All the Liberal Media and the left have to do is say... "Remember George Bush? Romney's going to take us back there." And as much as I love Mitt Romney we all know it's an uphill battle to defeat an incumbent president, even one that has terrible polling numbers because at the end of the day, most of the voters in his party will come back to him. They would link Rice to Bush every way possible and it would eventually become Obama versus Bush which, I personally believe is why George W. Bush hasn't endorsed nor is campaigning.

It's not so much as Bush being the reason this country is in the state it is but rather the fact he was the President at the time it started to fall down the hill. It also doesn't help that whenever there's a problem, Liberals blame Bush. The solution to this is choosing a candidate for VP that is well known and well respected but has only enough experience to make him or her viable rather than venomous. This is why I believe Christie, Rubio, or a few others but they all have their negatives.

The only downside I see with Rubio is you will have birthers, just like there were with Obama. You will also have those arguing that he doesn't have enough experience, oh well. I think Marco Rubio has plenty of experience to play the part of Vice President and hopefully we see him fill that roll come this summer.

Mitt Romney Comes Out Swinging, and Conservatives Fall In Line

By Jesse Merkel
A year ago, many assumed that Mitt Romney (R-MA) was the weakest candidate to go up against President Obama. Believing that he came with too many liabilities and too much of a nice-guy streak, Democrats assumed that a Romney nomination would ensure Obama’s re-election. Now, President Obama and his campaign chiefs are catching a glimpse of what Romney will be like in the general election.
Mitt Romney has come out swinging over the last two weeks, hammering the President repeatedly on the economy, the unemployment rate, and skyrocketing debt. Conservatives and Republicans that were disheartened four years ago when Senator John McCain refused to go on the attack should be overjoyed. Romney is not playing by the same rules. He’s a fighter.
After sweeping five primaries and taking home most of the available delegates on April 24, Romney delivered a speech lambasting President Obama’s record. He told Americans to hold on a little longer, promising that the worst was almost over. Channeling both Ronald Reagan’s eternal optimism and Bill Clinton’s mastery of phrase, Romney gave the president a message on the country’s behalf, telling him “It’s still about the economy, and we’re not stupid!”
Romney kicked off this new strategy with a series of scathing, but carefully calculated comments during various interviews. Whereas other candidates in the past have gone off unhinged only to damage themselves in the public eye, Romney is much more calm and collected. It's part of a wider campaign strategy that is already proving effective in the early polls.
The first part of this strategy involves ‘bracketing,’ which is the practice of beating ones opponent to the punch and effectively ending the argument before it begins. Romney kicked off this strategy last week in North Carolina with his now infamous ‘Pre-buttal speech.’ Romney chose a spot directly across the street from where the Democratic National Convention will be held in September.
The more Romney continues with this strategy, the more refuted and ridiculous Obama’s message will sound before he even gets the chance to deliver it to an audience.
Romney’s strategy also involves his new best friends, Super PACs. While Obama will have more personal campaign cash on hand, Romney’s Super PACs might be able to raise more money than those that are supporting the president. Romney can sit back and take precise verbal hits on President Obama, while his Super PACs can focus their energy on pounding Obama into the dirt for the next seven months.
The president has never faced a tough opponent before now. Obama won his Senate seat by a landslide in 2004, and Senator McCain refused to get tough in 2008. Since he’s never been up against a worthy opponent, Obama has been able to get by thus far with a glass jaw. Romney has proven that he is not willing to be the president’s stationary target. Attacks on Romney’s wife and pet dog from Obama supporters quickly blew up in the president's face, while everything since has been met with a very quick response.
The President has already gone around saying how Republicans want to eliminate birth control pills and purposely pollute the Earth. Romney knows that Obama is going to hit him with everything he can in order to win, and is responding accordingly.
In 2008, McCain informed his advisors that easy targets like Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers were off limits. Romney’s already been highlighting those associations on the campaign trail.
There were many who were wary of Romney. Others didn’t like how he beat up his Republican primary opponents. Now, that same fire will be focused on President Obama. By coming out swinging this early , Romney is sending a message to his fellow conservatives. They don’t have to like everything about him, but they will like the weaponry he’s going to use on Obama.
For a long time, Republicans have wanted someone with a little fire in the belly. President Bush tried endlessly to get along with people who despised him in Washington, and John McCain tried to wage a nice-guy campaign. Romney played nice in 2008, and lost because of it. This time, the gloves are off, and he’s playing for keeps.
Let’s get ready to rumble, shall we?

Was Sarah Palin Properly Vetted By The McCain Team?

By Jared Allebest (Conservative Samizdat)
Right Wingnut, a blogger who writes for Right Speak, has initiated a debate with me claims that the liberal media started pushing the meme that Sarah Palin wasn't properly vetted and that meme is now being pushed by bitter Romney supporters such as myself:
A few weeks ago, I started to notice a theme developing - designed to discredit Sarah Palin and the amount of vetting that was done prior to adding her to the ticket in 2008. Nearly every MSM article about the topic suggested that the GOP nominee would be more cautious in their vetting process to avoid making the same "mistake" the McCain campaign made.
Initially, the propagation of this false meme was mostly limited to left-wing journalists with an axe to grind. Lately, it seems that some on the right (mostly Romney supporters who are still bitter that McCain picked her over Mitt) are seizing on the opportunity to pile on.
This claim is false.
The claim that Sarah Palin wasn't properly vetted was mentioned almost immediately after John McCain announced her as his running mate and it was an observation that was made by people both on the left and the right during the 2008 campaign. For example, Jazz Shaw, a well known conservative blogger who writes articles for the popular conservative website, Hot Air, said back in 2008 that he suspects that Sarah Palin wasn't properly vetted:
Ok, team, we clearly need to address this a bit more. First, let’s start with a bit of background. The original intent of this post, as a follow-on to a previous one, was to express not only my personal dissatisfaction with McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin as the running mate, but to highlight my suspicions that Ms. Palin had not been vetted as fully as some of the other potential nominees.
Back in 2008, Allahpundit, writing for Hot Air had an article that had links to other articles that raised questions over whether or not she was properly vetted. Other conservative websites such as Townhall.com,  Little Green Football, Right Wing News and Red State all discussed the issue of whether or not Palin was properly vetted during the 2008 Presidential election. Conservatives during the 2008 election had every right to be concerned about whether or not Sarah Palin was properly vetted.
John Aravosis, a blogger, carried a short little article in 2008 on his blog, AmericaBlog about how Sarah Palin wasn't vetted.
Let us review the facts why so many people on the left, right and center who were in the media, in the political trenches and at home were concerned about the vetting of Sarah Palin.
There were news reports that John McCain deliberately chose not toinvolve some of his top senior campaign advisors when they were deciding who to pick as his running mate. For example, McCain spokeswoman Nancy Pfotenhauer didn't even know how McCain and Palin knew  each other:
"You're running flat into the wall of my ignorance here," she said. "I truly have no indication whatsoever the extent of a relationship that exists with the Governor of Alaska."
There are also reports that the McCain team did not contact state political leaders or business leaders about Sarah Palin. Moreover, it appears that the McCain team didn't even look at the local newspaper archives to see what they had to say about Palin.  Theydidn't even contact Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan, a man that Palin tried to fire after he refused to fire a family member from the Alaskan police force. Even more surprisingly, there is a report by Marc Ambinder that the McCain team didn't even conduct an FBI background check on the governor.
In fact, it appears that a intensive vetting of Sarah Palin didn't occur until shortly before it was announced she was McCain's running mate:
Aides to Mr. McCain said they had a team on the ground in Alaska now to look more thoroughly into Ms. Palin’s background. A Republican with ties to the campaign said the team assigned to vet Ms. Palin in Alaska had not arrived there until Thursday, a day before Mr. McCain stunned the political world with his vice-presidential choice. The campaign was still calling Republican operatives as late as Sunday night asking them to go to Alaska to deal with the unexpected candidacy of Ms. Palin.
It appears to conservatives and liberals and reporters that the McCain team was trying to close the barn door after the horse has already bolted.
Lets not forget that experienced Conservative campaign advisors have always believed that she was not properly vetted. For example, Sara Fagen, a former political director for President George W. Bush.had this to say about the vetting process of Sarah Palin:
"There's one thing the people in the Republican establishment agree on: There was clearly not a thorough thought process or vetting that went into the vetting of Sarah Palin. They didn't ask the fundamental questions or spend enough time with her,"
Finally, McCain advisor, A.B. Culvahouse, who says that the vetting process was fully conducted. In contrast, we have at least two McCain staffers who say she wasn't vetted. For example, Nicolle Wallace, one of the ’08 campaign’s top advisers, said that the HBO movie, Game Change, was too close to the truth as to make it uncomfortable. to watch. We also have Steve Schmidt who also says Sarah Palin wasn't vetted:
“It’s a story of when cynicism and idealism collide, when you have to do the things that are necessary to win to try to get in office to do the great things you want to do for the country,” Schmidt said. “And I think it showed a process of vetting that was debilitated by secrecy, that was compartmentalized, that failed, that led to a result that was reckless for the country. And I think when you look back at that race, you see this person who is just so phenomenally talented at so many levels, an ability to connect. But also someone who had a lot of flaws as someone running to be in the national command authority who clearly wasn’t prepared.”
Its clear to me that the McCain team is still in disagreement on the issue of whether she was properly vetted or not. Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace have been vilified for reporting their observation about what they saw and as controversial as their testimony may be, we still have to take it into consideration given what we know of the facts as reviewed above.
In the end, the debate over whether or not Sarah Palin was properly vetted or not will go on for a very long time. Historians, journalists, academics, politicians, bloggers, activists and people will debate this issue for many years to come. However, there are enough facts, individually and collectively, to give a reasonable person a legitimate and rational basis for their belief that Sarah Palin wasn't properly vetted. This belief isn't some fringe conspiracy but a belief held by a lot of people on a wide range of the political spectrum. More importantly, conservatives of all stripes and in various levels of power and influence in the Republican party such as Dick Cheney and Ann Coulter believe she wasn't properly vetted.
In conclusion, it isn't just some blogger such as myself that believes she wasn't properly vetted. This belief isn't just some meme that is being pushed by people on the left or the right because they don't like Sarah Paln and have some sort of axe to grind against her. There are plenty of facts and evidence from a wide range of sources and people that are independent of each other that gives people reasonable doubt that she was vetted. As a result, I stand by my belief that the McCain team did a shoddy job vetting Sarah Palin.

Mitt Romney & Mormon Underwear

By Jared Allebest (Conservative Samizdat)
Bob Lonsberry, who is a well known conservative talk show host, has penned an article about the LDS use of temple garments which are known to members outside of the LDS Church as Mormon underwearor "magic underwear" as detractors of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints like to call it.
Here's a portion of Bob Lonsberry's article below:
What about Mitt Romney’s magic underwear?
Mitt Romney is a Mormon. That is a Christian religion founded in 1830 in upstate New York. Some Mormons do wear a religious garment under their outer clothes. Presumably, Mitt Romney is one of those Mormons.
What is a religious garment?
Well, it depends on the religion. Several faiths have unique bits of clothing that mostly seem to have the same purpose – to remind believers of who they are and what they have promised to God.
Thus the headwear of the Sikh, and the beads, prayer feathers, medicine pouches and shamanic robes of various Indian tribes.
As well as the yarmulke of some Jewish men and the head coverings of some Jewish women, and the aprons, trailing strings and hats of yet more followers of Judaism.
Or the phylacteries and other garments and devices described in particular detail in the Bible.
In that regard, it’s quite possible that Jesus, following the Old Testament Law of Moses and being an observant Jew, wore religiously prescribed garments.
Roman Catholic religious have worn sacred garments for 1,700 years. Similarly, religious garments – or “habits” – have been worn by Anglicans and religious of the Eastern Orthodox, Coptic and Greek Orthodox churches. Some of these garments are priestly, and just for ceremonial purposes, while others are worn constantly as a declaration of faith.
In the Judeo-Christian tradition, specialized articles of religious clothing, of one type or another, have been worn for at least 4,000 years. Some of these have been visible, as a sign to the world, and some have been worn under other clothes, as a reminder to the wearer.
In Islam, many women wear religiously prescribed head coverings, as they have since the religion’s founding. Some Muslim women also wear a veil.
The notion of a religious head covering and even a veil is a belief also held for centuries by Christians and Jews. The Bible teaches men and women about the propriety of covering or uncovering their heads, particularly during prayer and worship. Some Christian denominations in America today, including some conservative Evangelicals and Mennonites, follow these teachings. Until a couple of generations ago, it was common for women to wear hats or scarves to mainstream American churches, to obey the biblical command to cover their heads.
The “babushkas” of many Eastern European women are worn in obedience to their understanding of their Catholic faith.
The point of all this is that religions around the world have various types of religious garments. If you do the math, most believers on earth belong to a religion that commands its followers or leaders to wear religiously significant clothing.
While some people find it odd or funny that the Mormons consider the temple garment to be sacred underwear, it is, nonetheless, like all other religious clothing, designed to help the believer of that faith remain more committed to their faith. For Mormons, the temple garments are religious clothing designed to help members of the LDS Church follow the teachings of that religion. It helps that person to be more focused on Jesus Christ, to be more diligent in keeping the commandments and covenants and to dress modestly when required.
While the temple garments may odd or strange to you, the idea of clothing being used to demonstrate commitment to one's faith is something everyone understand. Other items such as rings, earrings, pendants and jewelry also help people to be more dedicated to their faith. A well known example is people wearing crosses for necklaces or rings. As a result, the way people of other faiths demonstrate their commitment to their faith might be different from your own, it deserves respect and understanding.

Mitt Romney vs Obama 2012, Mitt Romney Video

Mitt Romney Video. This is a video scribing video about why Mitt Romney should be elected President 2012. Mitt Romney video uses hand drawn pictures to explain the desperate situation the United States is in. Enjoy the Mitt Romney Video.

2012 is going to be an election like no other and it has come down to two choices. Obama vs Romney

Obama has failed, and has done so miserably. He has a gift for speaking and implanting a desire in others, but lacks the wisdom, skills, and knowledge necessary to change the future of this country. The situation he stepped into was not an easy one. But despite his efforts he has done the very thing that this nation cannot afford to do. His spending is out of control and his regulations have strapped small business, banks, and corporations everywhere. He has made decisions and continues to make decisions that are not in our best interest. Gas Prices are rising, Jobs creation is stagnant and inflation is accelerating. Despite what the manipulated numbers lead you to believe. In 2008 this country took a risk on electing President Obama his message was excellent and he brought some hope to the American People. But nobody could have foreseen the horrible changes that would be forced upon the people. It has to stop Obama failed and must be retired.

Americans have a good track record of electing the right President, at the right time, for the right situation. Who's Mitt Romney and is he the right man for the Job? The 2012 race is not going to be easy. Obama has billions in campaign money and will not go down without a fight. Although Mitt may have some flaws we feel his strengths out way his flaws 10 to 1. Is Mitt Romney the right President for the Right time? He is and here are a few reasons why. Never before has a nation needed a God Fearing Man. The founders of this great nation were God Fearing men and ruled by the principles of righteousness. We are one nation under God and always have been. Mitt is a Christian and lives by the principles of his Faith. He is a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although many may say his Religion is his weakness research proves it's a great strength. The Principles Mitt has been taught and lived by hold true to Christian Principles. He doesn't just speak about them he lives them and his track record proves it.

Theodor Roosevelt said "No man can be a good citizen who is not a good husband and a good father, who is not honest in his dealings with other men and women, faithful to his friends and fearless in the presence of his foes, who has not got a sound heart, a sound mind, and a sound body." Mitt Romney fits this mold Perfectly. He is a devoted Grandfather, father, and husband. With a sound mind, heart and body.

Economically Sound. We cannot expect to be lead out of one of the biggest financial crisis since the great depression without a great leader at the Helm. President Obama lacks in this field. He does not have the experience, wisdom, or knowledge necessary. That is just the way it is. Our future President has to Cut Spending quickly and get rid of all those Regulations Handcuffing this Nation. If he does not we will experience a collapse. Mitt Romney knows this and understands what it takes to run an economy. His business experience has given him knowledge and wisdom to make the correct decisions in the Future. Mitt knows it is necessary to Cut Spending and he is willing to do this even if some people get Hurt in the process.

Finally the man who wishes to Lead this Country must be branded through and through with patriotism, dedication and Love for the American People. We can all agree a person who has served American multiply times and has a Slogan "Believe in American" has all three.

This is your Call to Action. We the People need to lead this nation and do better in choosing our Leaders. No longer can we afford to sit back and allow government corruptions to place us into bondage. We better choose wisely because one day we may not have a choice.

Who Will Be Mitt Romney's Running Mate?

Romney / ? - 2012
By Jared Allebest (Conservative Samizdat)
People have been speculating on who Mitt Romney will pick to have as his running mate and future Vice President. Romney has so far hasn't said much about who he will pick, but in an interview with National Review, he's said that he hasn't made a list yet but that he's in the process of making one. that he's looking for someone who can also lead the nation if necessary:
NRO: Let’s begin with your process of selecting your running mate. As you’ve interacted with elected officials throughout this primary season, have you thought about any of them as potential running mates and whether you would trust that person to be a heartbeat away from the presidency?
Mitt Romney: [Laughter.] I’m not going to give you any names!
NRO: You don’t have to give names. Just . . . has anybody piqued your interest?
Romney: There are a lot of terrific people in our party, as I’m sure you know. We will begin to put together a list of folks to do a deep-dive vetting. That’s something which Beth Myers, my former chief of staff and former campaign manager, is guiding. I’ve been very impressed with a lot of folks I’ve worked with, and I’m impressed with others that have not been in battleground states, but who nonetheless are key leaders in our party. At this point, it is a wide-open process.
: Is there one trait or quality that you think is particularly important for a running mate and vice president?
Romney: The vice president has to be someone who would be seen as having the capability to become president and lead the country if that were to become necessary. That is, without question, the most important quality that you consider.
Romney has already selected campaign advisor Beth Meyers to assist him in making his selection. Here a list of possible running mates that Beth Meyers might be looking at:
Marco Rubio
Mitch Daniel
John Kasich
Chris Christie
Paul Ryan
Bobby Jindal
Bob McDonnell
Susana Martinez
Nikki Haley
Allen West
Kelly Ayotte
Jeb Bush
Tim Pawlenty
Rick Santorum
Many candidates have either stated that they will or will not be Mitt Romney's running mate. Marco Rubio has consistently stated that hewill not be Romney's Vice President. Many people have recommended Marco Rubio to be Mitt's VP like Jeb Bush. However, Marco Rubio saidthat Jeb Bush would make a good running mate for Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush said he would be Mitt's VP if asked
Bobby Jindal has also stated that he's not interested in being Mitt's running mate because he likes being the governor of Louisiana. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has given conflicting answers in which he has said he wouldn't mind being Romney's VP but has said at other times that he wouldn't be his running mate.
South Carolina Govenor Nikki Haley has said she would not be Mitt Romney's running mate and suggested that Allen West would make a great pick and then backtracked on that recommendation. Other people such as Sarah Palin and Herman Cain have also endorsed Allen West. Allen West has stated that he would accept the invitation to be Mitt Romney's VP if asked.
Many people have talked about Virginia Govenor Bob McDonnell as being Mitt Romney's Vice President. Although, Governor McDonnell has down played talk of him being selected as Romney's running mate.
Paul Ryan has been widely discussed as Mitt's VP. Although people know Paul Ryan for his mastery of economic issues, he's equally powerful when it comes to foreign policy. Paul Ryan hasn't publicly denied a hypothetical offer from Mitt Romney but he's remained mostly quiet on the subject of being Romney's VP other than to say that the discussion hasn't been brought up by Mitt Romney and that he would think about it when the offer actually is presented to him.
There are a lot of good people on the list and most of them would be a great running mate for Mitt Romney. Personally, my list of who I would pick for Mitt's running mate would be quite short. I personally like Paul Ryan, John Kasich, Rob Portman, Nikki Haley, Bob McDonnell, Allen West and Condoleezza Rice. There are others who I know will not make a good running mate for Mitt Romney and as a result, they are probably not on Mitt's short list. Those people are Ron Paul, Rick Santorum, Tim Pawlenty, Bobby Jindal, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, and Mitch Daniel.
Who ever Mitt Romney picks, the vetting process will be much more intense than in the past due to the shoddy vetting process the McCain team did with Sarah Palin. However, I am confident that Mitt Romney will make the right choice. It will be someone who will be just as equally competent in leading the country as Mitt Romney is, who will work well with the President and with Congress in passing the necessary laws, who can help Mitt win the necessary votes needed to win the election and who can go one on one with Biden in a debate.
I am excited for Mitt Romney's running mate and I can't wait for Mitt to make his announcement. I suspect that Mitt Romney will make his announcement shortly before the Republican convention in Florida. Whoever Mitt picks, it will be a good choice for America.

Tim Tebow, Kid Rock, and the 5 Celebs Who Can Help Mitt Romney Take Down George Clooney and Obama

By Jesse Merkel
Governor Mitt Romney nearly has the Republican nomination wrapped up. Former Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Congressman Ron Paul are massively far behind in the delegate count. Even if Rick Santorum were to transfer all of his delegates to one of them, they would still have less than half than Romney. With a majority of party and grassroots support behind him, it is only a matter of time before he reaches 1,144.
Now,  the tone has changed to one more akin to a general election, with Romney and Obama taking more and more shots at each other. Celebrities like George Clooney are lining up to throw fundraisers for the president, and more are expected to join him on the campaign trail.

 1. Jon Voight
The widely respected actor has been an avid supporter of the Tea Party and smaller government for years, appearing at numerous rallies and protests across the country. Voight is known for delivering powerful speeches without the bomb-throwing rhetoric, and could prove quite an influential voice on the campaign trail for Governor Romney.
Actor Gary Sinise2. Gary Sinise

is another respected actor known for his work in movies like Forrest Gump and Apollo 13, as well as the hit TV show CSI: New York. He is a very outspoken supporter of the U.S. military, and has regularly has volunteered his time with returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. Sinise has also appeared in and narrated commercials for the U.S. Army. His support would no doubt help shore up a few extra votes from the families of both active duty and retired U.S. service members.

Sara Evans @ Toadlick Music Festival in Dothan, AL on March 24, 2012. 3. Sara Evans
The Country Music superstar has millions of adoring fans and would be a huge draw for a Romney campaign stop in the South or Midwest. Evans is an avid conservative, gun rights supporter, close friends with Sean Hannity, and sang at the 2004 Republican National Convention. Need I say more?
4. Kid Rock
AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy-- "Rock Star" Kid Rock performs as part of a USO holiday show held for the Aviano community, Dec. 22, 2007.A fellow son of Michigan, Kid Rock has already granted Romney his permission to use his song "Born Free" as his campaign battle cry. The music superstar has an absolutely massive fan base, and has regularly performed overseas at different USO shows. During an interview in 2011, Kid Rock said, "I think I'm like the majority of people who are tired - we don't want a bunch of Bible thumpers running the country and we don't want a bunch of pot-smoking hippies running it." No wonder he endorsed Romney in 2008.
5. Tim Tebow
Photo of Tim Tebow “Tebowing” taken on 1-1-2012 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High (Denver Colorado). Denver Broncos vs Kansas City Chiefs Photo was taken prior to the start of the 2nd half. Why not? A rising-star athlete with a huge fan base, many of which are evangelical Christians. Anyone would love to have someone like Tebow rooting for him on the campaign trail, whether they admit it or not. Not only would he draw legions of adoring fans, but he could help to ease a few worried minds of those who may hold some reservations about Romney's Mormonism. If the guy could draw tens of thousands to see him give an Easter Sunday sermon, he could do wonders for Romney.
