If You Watched The Final Portion Of The Republican “GOP” National Convention Last Night, Then Perhaps You May Have Noticed A Stark But Interesting Difference Of The Coverage Following The Conclusion Of The Republican Presidential Nominee, Mitt Romney’s Speech, When His Eminence, Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop Of New York, Recited The Final Benediction.
The Difference Was, That, Upon The Commencement Of That Same, The FOX News Channel’s Coverage Went Completely Silent And You Could Hear The Crowd Noise Die Down As Well As The Balloon Popping Celebration Ceasing And Then, The Wonderful Silence And Respect Shared Among So Many. Thus, Those Same Respectfully Allowed Every Word Spoken By The Archbishop To Be Heard, From The Beginning Through Unto The Conclusion Of The Benediction And To Be Shared With The Americans Who Were Not Actually Present And Standing There Among Them..
Therefore, Appropriately And Respectfully Allowing Any Of Those Americans Sitting At Home Or At A Family Or Friends House Or Even At Their Workplace Or Somewhere In Our Military, Stateside Or Abroad, The Same Opportunity To Partake In The Same Blessing Being Delivered And Requested From The CREATOR Of Whom, Greater Than A Majority Of Americans Believe In And Serve In Many Different Ways And Of Course, Allowing Any Of Those Same With Their American Guaranteed Freedom Of Religion, To Choose For Themselves If They Wanted To Listen And Share Or If They Did Not Want To Listen And Partake. However, If You Would Have Been Tuned In To The CNN Live Coverage, You Would Have Only Heard The Commentary And Opinions Continue Over The Benediction, As It Was Dampened Into The Background. Furthermore, You Wouldn’t Had Even Been Aware Of The Commencement Of The Same, If Not That Only After Partially Into The Benediction, The CNN Spokesperson Ms. Candy Crowley Stated, “This Is Mitt Romney Being Mitt Romney And They Are Down Here Praying And That’s Always My Cue To Send It Up Back To You, Wolf” And At That Point Wolf Blitzer Took Over And Continued With His Opinion And Then Spoke To And Sought Opinions From The Other Panelist In Their Booth, Without Any Further Acknowledgement Or Coverage Or Even Showing The Least Bit Of Respect For The Prayer / Blessing Being Spoken And Requested, Whatsoever. Therefore, Not Only Did Their Viewing Audience Not Get To Hear Or See The Wonderful Silence And Respect Shared Among So Many, But Also Lost Out On An Obviously Needed, Possible Teaching Moment, For Themselves And Perhaps Even Some Of Their Viewership But Rather Far Worse, In Their Demonstrating Their Own Morals And Values Or Lack Thereof, In So Doing They Robbed Each And Every One Of Their Viewing Audience Of Their American Guaranteed Freedom Of Religion, To Choose For Their Own Self, If They Wanted To Listen And Share Or If They Did Not Want To Listen And Partake. This Actually Not Only Makes A Strong Statement, It Also Explains A Lot. There Is No Wonder Why Even More And More People Continue To Lose Their Own Values And Their Moral Compass And Respect For Their Fellow Man, It Is Because Many, Have Already Lost That Very Same For GOD…

Paul Ryan made a huge splash on the USS Wisconsin when he debuted on the presidential campaign a few weeks ago. Unlike his immediate predecessor for VP on a GOP ticket, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, Ryan is no stranger to the national stage. After being excoriated in 2010 and 2011 for his serious, yet controversial budget plan, Ryan became a regular villain of the Democrats and the media. The president himself took some time out of his schedule of driving the country into insane amounts of debt to beat up Paul Ryan for actually wanting to stop the downward spiral. Obama invited Ryan to the front row of a speech, during which he ripped him to shreds in front of the entire nation. Campaign commercials showing a Paul Ryan lookalike tossing granny off the cliff started to pepper the airways. Tonight, it was payback time. There were some tough acts to follow. Mike Huckabee, Tim Pawlenty, and Senator Rand Paul all delivered great speeches, and former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice absolutely brought the house down.
Paul Ryan not only met these expectations, he exceeded them. Congressman Paul Ryan took the stage at 10:26 to thunderous applause and bass-driven rock music. Knowing that Ann Romney was a tough act to follow, and not wanting to draw comparisons to Sarah Palin’s performance four years ago, he took a tone that was authentic and real. After diving right into his speech, he proceeded to drive five solid home runs over the fence. 1) Introduce Himself to the Nation Paul Ryan may have more experience than Sarah Palin did in 2008, but he is still largely unknown to a majority of the country. Instead of a long, sappy video, there was a quick clip of Romney introducing Ryan a few weeks ago, followed by a few snippets from his mother and wife. Then he came out and immediately attacked. He briefly introduced his wife and three children, and his mother, who currently lives in Florida. He touted his small town, Midwestern roots, something that Romney has not had since he left Michigan years ago to go to Boston.
2) Hit the Record He attacked the record of Obama’s presidency, talking about the growing number of people living in poverty and failure. He ripped the president’s stimulus bill, the administration's connection to Solyndra, and cronyism. He wonked out on Obamacare, showcasing brief snippets of his policy expertise. This was a targeted attempt to show that Republicans are not here to throw granny off of the cliff, but to save Medicare for future generations and make it solvent. “The greatest threat to Medicare is Obamacare, and we’re going to stop it.” BOOM.
3) Attack, Attack, Attack! “I have never seen opponents so silent about their record.” “Fear and division is all they’ve got let” “With all their attack ads, the president is just throwing away money, and he’s just pretty experienced about that.” The VP nominee is traditionally the attack dog, and mild mannered Ryan eased into this pretty well. The clean-cut 42 year old took plenty of shots at Obama, with all the grace and political skill of a statesmen 20 years his senior. He also attacked Obama’s tendency to blame the previous administration, saying, “The man assumed power almost four years ago, isn’t it time he assumed responsibility for something?” ZING! He ripped Obama’s “You didn’t build that” comments, talking about the drive and determination and hours that many small business owners put in to make their creations successful. 4) Appeal to Younger Voters As the first member of Generation X to be on a major party ticket, Ryan chose to draw a generational theme. He cast the race in the same light as the struggles that were fought by generations past. He talked about the mountain debt, a Medicare program that will run out of money, and Social Security that will go broke. He touched on how college graduates are coming out of the college still having trouble finding a job. Ryan said that recent grads should not have to live out their 20s in their childhood bedrooms, staring up at faded Obama posters and wondering when they will be able to get on with their lives. It was not condescending. It was a true statement with a little bit of humor that was intended to reach those that may be frustrated with the stalled Obama economy. 5) Make the Case for Mitt and Himself
Ryan began touting the accomplishments and strengths of Mitt Romney within the first few minutes. Throughout the rest of the speech, he kept coming back to how they would do things differently. With regards to Medicare, he talked about his grandmother, who suffered from Alzheimers. He talked about how his family needed programs, and that a Romney Ryan ticket wants to honor them, not destroy them. He drew upon the simple truth that we as a nation need to stop spending money that we do not have. As a former speechwriter, Paul Ryan has a gift for making complex things very simple and easy to understand, and tonight, he did that better that he may ever have before. He told people that there is not much time left. All it takes is leadership, and someone with the courage to fight for tax fairness, cuts in spending and regulatory reform. While sometimes they are not articulated well, they sure were tonight. He touted Romney as the turnaround king, from failing businesses and the Olympics, to taking Massachusetts budget deficit and turning it into a surplus. Before he came on stage, many people believed that he would not be able to top the incredible performances of Ann Romney and Condoleeza Rice. Paul Ryan not only succeeded expectations, but he may have lapped those that went on stage before him. Line of the night: “That’s freedom, and I’ll take it any day over the supervision and sanctimony of the central planners.” An ideological speech that drove the point home beautifully, this will be one for the history books. He made it a choice between leadership, and leading from behind. Between responsibility, and blame. This one drew in some new people in, without a doubt. Today, Mitt Romney officially became the Republican nominee. They conducted a final delegate tally and he received 2,061 delegates which is well above the 1,144 delegate needed to become the nominee.
Its been a long journey for Mitt Romney who ran for President in 2008 and like Reagan, decided to make another run for the White House. He fought hard in each of the primaries in the 2012 election and built a strong momentum that helped him win Super Tuesday. He endured tough debates and took on multiple Republican challengers. Mitt Romney had to endure attacks on his faith and his successful career by people within the GOP party. Finally, Mitt Romney was able to get enough delegates needed to win the GOP primaries. Looking back on the 2012 primaries, Mitt Romney mastered the fundamentals of running for office and that's why he's the GOP nominee to go head to head with Obama.
I have heard and read comments from some people who are still unhappy with him as the GOP nominee. There were numerous attempt to stop Mitt Romney. Each primary was an opportunity to stop Mitt. Republican voters had alternatives to choose from if they didn't want to vote for Mitt. However, Mitt proved himself to be an effective, smart and \superior candidate who deserved to win the nomination.
Looking forward to the election in November, Mitt Romney is a serious threat to Obama. Obama has been relentless in attacking Romney and has burned through alot of money to unsuccessfully take him down. Mitt Romney has been just as aggressive with Obama as he has with his GOP competitors in the GOP 2012 primary. Mitt Romney has also been an aggressive fundraiser for which Obama may not be able to compete with him since due to the amount of money Barack spent during the summer against Mitt.
Based on Mitt's experience in the private and public sector, looking at how he campaigned in the 2012 primaries, how well he's done so far, picking Paul Ryan to be his VP and going after Obama, Mitt Romney will be our next President in 2012.

This Sounds Completely Reasonable Right? I saw the first showing of Dinesh D’Souza’s documentary 2016: Obama’s America yesterday morning. As the previews suggested, I knew I was in for a wild ride.
What I saw was a side of President Obama we may have seen if the media had done its job properly in 2008. Not only did I receive more information than I could possibly convey in one article, but I saw a film that ended up changing my entire perspective (warning: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD).
The film kicks off with producer and narrator Dinesh D’Souza discussing the similarities he and Obama shared, which I felt was an interesting intro. Both men were born in 1961, and both had ancestral roots were shaped in the ashes of colonialism. D’Souza, the current president of The King’s College in NYC, was born in India. President Obama’s father, Barack Hussein Obama Sr., was from Kenya. Both of these nations were former British colonies.
I realized quickly that there was a reason for this comparison, which became a motif throughout the film.
What followed was a narrative of the president’s life immediately after his birth in Hawaii. For all of you people hoping this was a ‘birther’ film, you’ll be sadly disappointed. Not only does this film acknowledge the presidents place of birth, but also it makes sure to mention the two newspapers that carried his birth announcement.
A brief dialogue ensued about the views of President Obama’s parents, Barack Obama Sr. and Stanley Ann Durham. Obama Sr. was driven by a strong sense of anti-colonialism, while his mother was a secular humanist and collectivist.
Barack Obama Sr. soon left his son and wife to attend Harvard, after which he returned to Kenya, where he ended up becoming a rather prominent individual according to several older residents who were interviewed by D’Souza. The president’s mother soon married Lolo Soetoro, who was from Indonesia. The family relocated to Indonesia, where they remained for several years.
During this time, D’Souza reveals that throughout the president’s formative years, Soetoro becomes less ideologically connected to his mother. He ends up joining the Indonesian army and worked for a Western oil company, all the while becoming more anti-communist, which disgusted the president's mother. During their entire time in Indonesia, young Barack Obama is constantly told by his mother what an amazing man his biological father was, and how the anti-colonial ideology that drove him was the correct ideology for the future. Then things got interesting.
D’Souza explains how young Barack went to Hawai’i to stay with his grandparents, who were far to the left ideologically. His grandfather was close with Communist and writer, Frank Marshall Davis. Davis was on the FBI’s watch list, and considered a possible domestic threat at the time. Young Obama’s grandfather believed that Davis was the perfect role model for the boy.
The film goes into depth about Davis and others, whom D’souza calls “Obama’s Founding Fathers.” Upon moving to Chicago and then heading off to college, Obama attends several classes of Professor Edward Said, who was extremely pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli in his views. Later on he met up with former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers, who later would throw one of Obama’s first fundraisers.
Then the film goes on to talk about the last of these founding fathers, Reverend Jeremiah Wright. One of the leaders in Black Liberation Theology, Rev. Wright performed Obama’s wedding, and baptized his two children. The two became quite close, until Obama decided to run for president. The film plays sound clips of the Jeremiah Wright stating that he was offered money to shut up about Obama, but declined. Thankfully for the president, most of the media ignored Wright in 2008.
During his most formative years, President Obama was immersed in a sea of leftist, socialist, Marxist and anti-colonialist views, but these men only helped to fine-tune what had already been set by the ghost of his father.
Upon hearing about his father’s death, Obama goes to Kenya to visit the grave. Overlaid upon images of the gravesite is the president’s own voice, taken in its entirety from his first memoir, Dreams From My Father. The audience was sat in stunned silence as they heard the president’s voice talk about how he would finish what his father had started.
D’Souza spoke briefly with a psychologist who explained that sometimes children with absentee fathers don’t loathe them, as most would expect. Sometimes, they idolize an image of them. In the case of President Obama, this image was bolstered by the constant praise his mother heaped on the man he barely knew.
Seeing this film, it became painfully obvious why the president has done the things he has. 2016: Obama’s America does not label the president a socialist, a foreigner or a Muslim. What it does call him is an anti-colonialist, and a particularly vicious one at that. While the 20th century colonial powers have died out and retreated to their own borders, he views America as his father did. Obama Sr. believed that America was a colonialist nation, although instead of conquering other nations, it took their resources and manufactured them for their own benefit.
Obama returned the bust of Winston Churchill, out of a latent disgust for the United Kingdom’s colonial heritage. He also has indicated support for Argentina in their dispute with Britain over the Falklands.
Rather than increasing drilling and Okaying the Keystone Pipeline, Obama sent money to Mexico, Colombia and Brazil so that they could drill, and that we could buy from them. As for Obama supporting Muslim uprisings in the Middle East, regardless of what radicals may have come to power? He viewed it through the same prism. The "99%" of those nations were taking the power back from those that were instilled because of colonial influence, and because of the west. Why didn't he support the Iranian Green Revolution? Because they were trying to overthrow an anti-West regime.
The two highlights of the film for me however, were interviews with the president’s brother, George Obama, and Shelby Steele, of the Hoover Institution. George Obama spoke of a very different worldview than the one his older brother believed in.
George believed that anti-colonial resentment had held Kenya back. He described that when the country gained independence in the early 1960s, it was actually ahead of others, like India, Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea. Now those countries are all booming, while Kenya is still struggling. Even South Africa, which only achieved full independence two decades ago, is growing by leaps and bounds.
He believed that Kenya was not held back because it was a former colony, but because it clung on to leftist ideologies while other former colonies had moved towards capitalism. George speculated that it might have actually helped Kenya if the British had left later on, like in South Africa.
Shelby Steele spoke briefly about how Obama, being half black and half white, represented a chance for all of America to cast a vote and collectively alleviate the nation of guilt. Whether it worked or not, they could say that they were there when the first African American president was elected. Because of this, and because of the president’s uncanny ability to speak and disarm a crowd with ease, people were eager to buy into whatever it was he said, no matter what it was. They wanted to be a part of it.
No conspiracy theories. No Muslim this or socialist that. Instead, 2016: Obama’s America makes the case that the president is an anti-colonialist carrying out dreams from his father. He believes that America got to where it is unjustly, and that he can use his position as president to undo the wrongs and transfer the wealth to the poorer nations of the world. Higher taxes? Sure, even Americas poorest would be rich elsewhere.
Free from elections in a second term, Obama could do more of what he really wants. No more having to veil some of his policies in a way that would make people believe he is bipartisan. If given the chance, he will right the wrongs as he sees fit, regardless of what happens to America’s place in the world.
This documentary is well made, and will show you more than any interview or biography ever could. I highly recommend it, whether you are a fan of President Obama or not.
At the end of the film, I noticed an elderly British couple sitting behind me. The wife stood up as the credits rolled and summed things up perhaps better than I or any American ever could: “Scares the bloody hell out of me.”

Mitt Romney on Sunday defended his support of women, pointing to his record as Massachusetts governor and his stance on female health issues.
In a wide-ranging interview with “Fox News Sunday,” Romney said the health care reform laws he signed as governor improved access to health care “for all the men and women” in the state without cutting Medicare or raising taxes, as President Obama has done.
“I’m very proud of what we did. And we did it without cutting Medicare, which obviously affects a lot of women,” Romney said. “The way the president cut Medicare, $716 billion for current retirees, that's a real problem.”
The concern about women’s issues continues in a close election in which Democrats have attempted to portray Republicans as waging a war on women and with Obama having a higher approval rating among likely female voters.
An ABC News-Washington Post poll last week showed Romney’s favorability with women at 40 percent, compared to 51 percent for Obama.
The issue resurfaced when GOP Rep. Todd Akin, the GOP candidate in the Senate race in Missouri, recently made a remark about “legitimate rape.”
Romney again distanced himself from Akin and the remark, calling the remark “terrible” and saying he has asked Akin to quit the race.
Romney also told Fox News the abortion debate goes beyond being exclusively a women’s issue because all Americans are impacted.
“Different people have different views,” he said. “Two lives are at stake. There’s a woman’s and a child’s. I care for both of them.”
The GOP presidential candidate also said “people should have a right to use contraception.”
Romney also defended his bank accounts in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands and questions about why he didn’t close them before the campaign to avoid the widespread speculation and criticism.
He said the accounts are legal, yield no additional tax benefits and were opened by a blind trust.
“There was not $1 in reductions by virtue of having (those) accounts,” he said before suggesting that closing them would be like being opposed to foreign investment.
“I could have done that,” Romney said. “I’m not going to hide who I am.”
Today, in the same interview where Sarah Palin told viewers on Fox News to vote for Mitt Romney, she also warned that a third party could form if the Republican party doesn't articulate conservative principles on the GOP platform:
When asked if she would consider creating a third party if neither Gov. Romney nor President Obama would budge from their current positions on a variety of issues, Palin left open the door.
"Look what happened in the mid 1800's. The Wig party went away and the Republican Party surfaced. Because the electorate got sick and tired of the party fighting for power and not doing the will of the people."
Palin went on to say history could repeat itself.
"If history is an indication it is a possibility," she said. "If the Republicans don't remember what the planks in the platform represent ... that is opportunity to prosper and thrive in the most exceptional nation in the world. We do that through a free market. If the Republicans become like the liberal left and democrats, I wouldn't be surprised if history didn't repeat itself."
Her statement could be be interpreted in two different ways. On one hand, she could be issuing the same warning that Senator Rick Santorum did a few months ago about not allowing Ron Paul or his supporters to mess with the GOP platform.
Yet, her statements could be interpreted differently when you take into account the recent news that Sarah Palin maybe trying to engineer a brokered convention so that she can get herself nominated as the GOP nominee. She may be trying to take the same approach as the Ron Paul supporters by attempting to get a brokered convention to happen so that Ron Paul will become the GOP nominee. The supporters of Ron Paul are also trying to change the GOP platform and its possible that Sarah Palin is trying to do the same thing here as well. In fact, in browsing through blogs that support either Ron Paul or Sarah Palin, there have been repeated statements of mutual admiration and support for such tactics.
I'm not sure which way to interpret her statement. I have no problems with her statement if she means to warn people about the consequences of diluting the GOP platform and I actually agree with her on that. However, if her statement is part of her rumored strategy to get a brokered convention going, I have strong objections to it. For now, I will simply just wait and see which interpretation is correct.
I have received numerous messages from various people asking me if I could verify a claim made by a Ron Paul bloggernamed "wincap" that supporters of Sarah Palin are going around at the Ron Paul events in Tampa Florida and passing out or mailing packages attempting to woo Paul supporters/delegates into voting for Sarah Palin in the event that a brokered convention occurs:
Sara Palin is in town and playing games, she is trying to steal the nomination, she sent out packets to all of the delegates asking them to vote for her if there is a brokered convention and she is trying to cause a brokered convention. I spoke to delegates at my booth who said they received the packet. None of our delegates will vote for her, putting my dislike for her aside, if she helps with a brokered convention I am fine with it because I think we could win a brokered convention.
I can confirm the source of where these packets might be coming from. There is a news report of a pro-Palin group called The Earthquake Movement who appear to be thesource of these delegate packets:
According to an email from a representative of The Earthquake Movement, the group has sent informational packets to delegates around the country, asking them to be one of the five required majority state delegations needed to nominate Palin in the first round of voting at the Republican National Convention. The packets also ask for delegates to nominate Palin in the second round if presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney does not receive the required number of delegates in the first round. The Earthquake Movement has also distributed information on Palin's "record, accomplishments and why we think she is the person who can excite the base and defeat President Obama in November." "We are finding a lot of unhappy Republican voters," the email said. "They feel like the RNC is not listening to them and based on voter turn out in the primaries and what we are hearing from Conservative Americans, they want her to emerge from the convention as the nominee. They are also very angry that she was not given a prime time speaking spot at the convention and are wondering if the RNC is attempting to shut her out because her message resonates with so many of us fly-overs. Are they afraid if she speaks prior to the vote or at all, we will have an averted Reagan experience?"
One California Ron Paul supporter who is a delegate has claimed that he received the package in the mail:
In fact, if you look at one of the pages of The Earthquake Movement's website, you can see them making a pitch to delegates on the legality of nominating Sarah Palin as the GOP nominee and encouraging them to take a stand to nominate her. They also encourage the delegates to buck the system and they support an "open convention" (brokered convention). They also have a blog called A Servant's Heart which puts up much of the information found on the website on the blog.
On the The Earthquake Movement's facebook page, you can see a post of them discussing the packages and their strategy for making a brokered convention happen:
Thus, it is highly likely that members of this group may have been at the GOP Convention distributing these packets to potential delegates who are supporters of Ron Paul. Given that the existence of these packages, it may be a matter of time before the contents of these packages show up on the news or on a blog site. I know that contents of the packages are somewhere on line since I have seen people talk about reading the documents and watching a DVD on the the Internet. Perhaps someone can put the entire contents of the package on a blog or send it to me.
What I find interesting is that there are two kinds of politicians. First, there those those who put party above themselves such as Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum who both have released their delegates to Mitt Romney. Then there are politicians who put themselves above the party such as Sarah Palin and Ron Paul who have no delegates yet have said nothing or done nothing to stop their supporters who wish to circumvent the nomination process by attempting to engineer a brokered convention to nominate someone other than candid
Today, Sarah Palin was on Fox News and she answered a question posed to her on twitter of "whether the viewer should vote at all if she doesn't like the candidates" by telling the person to vote for Mitt Romney.
However, Sarah Palin doesn't seem to be following her own advice since there is evidence that she is trying to make a brokered convention. In fact, there is a new report coming out today from the Ron Paul Delegates at the GOP Convention that Sarah Palin is trying to pull Ron Paul supporters into voting for her in the event that the desired brokered convention occurs:

Sarah Palin just exposed herself as two faced politician since she's advocating people to vote for Mitt Romney on television but apparently working to make a brokered convention happen. That's why its not surprising that why Sarah Palin not being invited to the GOP convention or why she hasn't been allowed to have an opportunity to speak at the convention. You can't expect to be invited to an event if you intend to undermine that event and have not been supportive of the GOP nominee.
I call on everyone from simple voters to news reporters to conservative commentators to RNC chairmen to call her out on her duplicitous behavior and speech. Is she really loyal to the GOP party? Does she really want Mitt to win in 2012? If so, why is she trying to engineer a brokered convention? If she's not trying to engineer a brokered convention, why are there reports that she is?
I'd love to see her answer those questions live on television or on the radio.
